What should I do when I’ve exceeded my storage quota?

When you install Zoho Docs Sync on your desktop, you will have a sync folder that is continuously syncing with the web. You can upload files directly to the web by adding them to this folder. The storage quota will be updated every time a file is uploaded to Zoho Docs.

Your storage quota will vary according to the particular Zoho Docs plan you are using. The storage limit per user for each plan is as follows:

  • Free - 5 GB
  • Standard - 50 GB
  • Premium - 100 GB

If you exceed your storage limit while uploading files, you’ll see the following error message. No new files can be uploaded after this error occurs.

You’ve exceeded the storage limit for your current plan. To get more space for your files, you can either upgrade your plan or delete unwanted files from Zoho Docs trash.

You can do the following to free up more storage space:

  • Clear your trash folder in Zoho Docs, because files in your trash folder also occupy storage space.
  • Delete files that are no longer useful.
  • Select another Zoho Docs plan.
